Established in 1978, Tehama Trader Publishing is located in Red Bluff, California in the wonderful USA. We are a wholly owned subsidiary of Tehama Trader, Inc., a California Corporation. We are located approx. 140 miles north of Sacramento in a beautiful rural community right near the Sacramento River.

Tehama Trader has been a local, family owned publication for over 33 years with the current owners, Ed and Kim Fogde taking over from Kim's parents in January of 2001. "Our family has lived in Red Bluff for over 33 years. Our kids grew up here, graduated from Red Bluff High School and received Bachlor's degrees from Simpson College/University in Redding. Our 10, soon to be 11, grandchildren were all born and are being raised right here in Northern California. We are very dedicated to our community and the opportunities that it offers and intend to put out a publication that promotes the best we have to offer!"

Formerly a weekly on the stands advertising publication, Tehama Trader gave way to our new publication, Tehama Trader Direct, in November of 2008. We currently direct mail approx 11,850 pieces to the 96080 zip code and deliver approx 7000 pieces to street stands for the rest of Tehama County as well as Anderson and Cottonwood in Shasta County and Orland in Glenn County. Tehama Trader Direct is mailed and distributed 12 times per year around the 25th of each month except in November and December where special holiday schedules are in effect. Our Christmas/Hoilday editions are filled with articles from local organizations to let the public know about all of the special events happening during this joyous season. In addition, many readers submit poems, recipes, traditions and memorable Christmas events from their lives. This is always a very popular edition!

With our new format, we wanted to focus on our local community and make it a product that they would look forward to reading each month. In addition to our regular columns, we also look to local organizations and the community at large to supply us with timely information that is of value to our community. People and organizations are encouraged to submit articles and stories for review about goings on in our community or information on up coming events. Our on going community calendar has become popular with our readers, giving them a one stop source for what is happening in the community.

Are you interested in submitting an article or an item for our community calendar? First check out our mailing and deadline schedule (here). to make sure that the timing will work. Use the display ad deadline as the last day to submit the information. If so, you can submit your information by mail (P.O. Box 634, Red Bluff, CA 96080), but the prefered way is to send the information by email to announcements@tehamatrader.com. It's the quickest way and allows us to take the information directly from your email and not retype it. An even better way is to attach a Microsoft Word document to your email so that we will have less reformatting to do. Remember that the less work we have to do to get your article ready for publication, the better the chance that it will be published. Photos are a very welcome addition to the typed information and should be attached to your email as a separate file for each photo in Jpeg format. The larger the picture you send, in both size and resolution, the better. We can resize the pictures very easily but pictures get very grainy (pixulated) when we have to do very much enlarging.

Although not as prominent as in our former weekly publication, Tehama Trader Direct still has a healthy base of classified advertising in addition to our display advertising. With the longer lead times associated with a monthly publication, we decided that we could better serve our classified advertisers by posting their classified ads to our web site on a more timely basis. Currently we post an up to date classified list approximately once a week. Advertisers that get their ads in earlier get the most web exposure because ads are posted quickly and remain on the web all the way up until the next scheduled edition after their ad ran in our print edition! Unfortunately, we don't have a way to place a classified directly from our web site at this time but, that section is in the works!

Emailed classified ads should be sent at least 24 hours before the deadline to allow for lag time passing thru all of the servers on the web. We'll probably receive it within minutes of your sending it but why take the chance.
Phone is the quickest and most assured way of placing your classified ad but remember... the quicker you place the ad, the quicker it gets on the web!

Please keep in mind that all ads, articles and other information are subject to the approval of the publisher and must be suitable for a family oriented publication. We reserve the right to refuse any ad or article that we feel does not fit the format and intent of our publication.
